ACCOMMODATIONS

AIRPORT
UC Irvine’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department is approximately 4 miles from John Wayne Airport (SNA).


DIRECTIONS

EH&S, building 41 (H4) on the UCI campus map, is located at 4600 Health Sciences Road in Irvine, CA.

  • From I-405 Southbound, exit and turn right on Culver Drive. Continue on Culver Drive until reaching University Drive. Turn right on University Drive. Turn left on California Avenue (a signal). Continue on California Avenue, past Academy Way (a signal) and past Bison Avenue (another signal). At the next "Stop" sign, turn left. EH&S will be on your immediate right.

  • From I-405 Northbound, exit and turn left on Jeffrey/University Drive. Turn left on California Avenue (a signal). Continue on California Avenue, past Academy Way (a signal) and past Bison Avenue (another signal). At the next “Stop” sign, turn left. EH&S will be on your immediate right.

  • From 73 Southbound, exit Bison Avenue and turn left. At California Avenue turn right. Turn left at the "Stop" sign. EH&S will be on your immediate right.

  • From 73 Northbound, exit Bison Avenue and turn right. At California Avenue turn right. Turn left at the "Stop" sign. EH&S will be on your immediate right.

  • From John Wayne Airport, take MacArthur Blvd South. At Bison Avenue turn left. At California Avenue turn right. Turn left at the "Stop" sign. EH&S will be in on your immediate right.



PARKING
Parking is available at EH&S or (if the lot is full) on either side of Health Sciences Road (excluding university vehicle spots). A valid parking permit is required. UCI honors quarterly and annual faculty/staff permits from other UC campuses. If you need to purchase a $10 daily permit, dispensers (the closest is in the Biomedical Research Center Lot 83 on the lower left hand side of the map) accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and cash. HOTELS

SpringHill Suites by Marriott, located 3.5 miles from UCI, includes self-parking, breakfast, and internet, as well as a complimentary shuttle to/from John Wayne Airport and to/from UCI (based upon availability). The Duke Hotel by Marriott, located 3 miles from UCI, includes internet, as well as a complimentary shuttle to/from John Wayne Airport and to/from UCI (based upon availability). MEALS
Morning coffee and lunch will be provided free to attendees. Dinner is on your own. Please note that reimbursement for meals in lieu of those provided at the training is NOT allowed under UC policy G-28.
